“A Cornish Gem”
We went to Admiral cottage for a last minute short stay.
Not only did we have wonderful weather but the views were amazing.
The location is everything and you cannot take your eyes off that view, even the kitchen faces it! Well equipped, comfortable, warm with a lovely little garden.
We will definitely be back
“Wow”
We stayed in Birdsong for a week for a family birthday - and had a great time.
Although a fair trek out of town (one member of the party thought the homeward hill got longer everyday!), the size and layout of the house meant that there was plenty of room for everyone. The easy parking was very handy too, as it meant we could go out and not worry about where to park on our return. (Not like St Ives centre, where if you can find a space you stay there for the week!)
The accommodation was excellent, with everything provided - and Tesco just up the road.
And then the views! just to sit and enjoy early in the morning, or during the day, or in the evening ... just great.
“Admiral Cottage”
Admiral cottage is absolutely charming, extremely well equipped and ideally located only seconds from the wonderful shops and restaurants in St Ives.
This beautiful harbour is steeped in Cornish history and has some marvellous boutiques and Galleries.
Our holiday was perfect. Melanie provided every comfort and lots of useful information which was invaluable. I can't wait to return to see the fantastic view from the front of the cottage again
It was to die for.
“Breathtaking views.”
My girlfriend and I stayed at Birdsong for a long weekend break. We left London looking for some rest and relaxation. Birdsong was perfect.
It is a large detached house with breathtaking views. On Sunday morning we woke up to a stunning sunrise that we could watch without even needing to get out of bed. It was the perfect mini break, I could never get bored of that view..
Will bring our friends and family with us next time. Thank you for letting us share your family home.
“Unforgettable.”
I have visited Admiral Cottage around 5 times. I can only recommend this place.
The owner is very accommodating and for location, it is one of the best places in St Ives.
Admiral Cottage itself is pleasant with excellent views and also has this little garden in front which seems to be a rarity in st Ives, especially this central.
It depends what you like to do but I enjoyed relaxing and the variety of being so close to the bustle of the town but in a little oasis.
Beaches are about 2 minutes away and there's loads of restaurants on the next street. The best place I've stayed in St Ives.
“Birdsong”
Four of us stayed in Birdsong, this huge comfortable house and had a lovely week. Well situated for St Ives which is a pleasant 15-20 min walk to the harbour.
The views from the house are splendid and the gardens, games (pool/table football/pingpong), washing/drying facilities were all well appreciated.
I suppose the ultimate question is would we stay again. The answer is YES!

“Tucked away”
If I was a writer I would move into Admiral Cottage and take inspiration from the view.
I only stayed for a few days but it was a real tonic. The cottage has all you need and expect, loved the bathroom with its high ceiling and the little garden. Admiral is tucked away yet seconds from the main street, so if you need to buy anything it only takes minutes as the Deli is very close. I took some good photos as the sun came out, which made me happy! Can't wait to come back to Cornwall.
